About Me

My photo
Los Angeles, California, United States
This is Tina. I am an artist, an animator, a joker, and a laugher. I am not the best but I am not the worst either. And my goal is to be on top. These blogs are bringing you my greatest passion in life, which I hope you will enjoy. Nothing is as entertaining as images, both still and moving. So please, forget the real world and welcome to the world of imagination~

"When you really draw something, never fear to be BOLD, otherwise, it won't be that amazing~" Tina N.

P.S. Did I not tell you that I am also a writer? At some point it dawned on me that I do enjoy putting my imagination in texts, not just images. Oh joy!

Character Designs

Here are some of my character design drawings from my Character Design class porfolio at CSUN. I really enjoy that class and it is a lot fun. My drawing style originally was influenced a lot by the Japanese comic style, but during the time taking this class, I've managed to get away from that style and create my very own style as well as different other styles used in cartoons and comic. Hope you enjoy the drawings and feedbacks are welcomed!

Maya - Fruits Bowl (fixed)

The lighting and composition was not good at all, not to mention some of the objects were not smooth enough in the picture. I then got to edit it again and again and after changing the color of the room, the table and the chairs as well as the light (color) based on the time of the day, the fruits bowl look a lot better! Here is how it looks after re-editing.

Stephanie

I was only practicing shading and coloring on photoshop. I drew my friend Stephanie.
At first I only wanted to work on the values and contrast with black and white. Then I figured I had so much fun and the drawing turned out nice to me so I just went ahead and colored it.
This is the first time I actually color and shade a drawing properly on computer. I never knew how to before so the drawing may not be really great but at least I did learn something and for now I am quite happy with the result. I know I can and will do a much better job! Yes! :)

Beginning Animation - The basic (Fall 2010)

1st Animation - a bouncing ball!

2nd Animation - Fun ball!!! And yes it was fun! :)

3rd Animation - The Jump! A goofy jump~ :)
4th Animation - The most fun of all the classic animations! DOUBLE TAKE!I had so much excitement working on this one~ if only there was some music...

5th Animation - 1st time working on flash! Now that is THE FORCE!

6th Animation - The last assignment from my beginning animation class! WALK! Okay this one is not good... Not good at all since my intention was to make a sexy catwalk, however due to the short time to make it before final, it was a rush and I did not do it thoroughly. I will surely do better!
The class was super fun~ Animation = Life and Love :D

"Delicious Love" Concept/Illustration

Originally intended for Dreamworks submission but I could not make it in time so I did not submit. These are only the rough sketch and first experiment of light and shadow.
This is an illustration of one of my latest short story ideas called "Delicious Love", created during my study in Character Design class by Artist Charles Zembillas at CSU Northridge - Animation Department.
The finished one will be posted soon! So stay tuned!

Of course, I need to clean up the lines and color it! Lots of work! Woohoo but I am excited! :)

Maya is both a lot of fun and a pain to work with. Yet I still enjoyed working on this assignment a lot! I'm very proud of my fruits bowl, though the lighting and composition still need a lot more work! Yes a lot~!
